Better Blogging Starts with a Single Sentence

Today, I was reading a post made by Will Ellington on Medium about better sentence structure. Here’s the link:

Better blog posts start with analyzing single sentences. And this should really only take place AFTER you have written your post. That’s right, after.

You should spend at least twice as much time editing your work than you do writing it. I know I’m guilty of not following this rule. Sometimes you just want to finish a post and move on with your day.

Have you ever had that happen to you?

Try writing better sentences and then paragraphs. The next thing you know, you will want to expand to the entire work! And what will the end product be?

A blog that you will be proud of and will actually want to share with others.

Also, better blogs mean better traffic and there’s your sales funnel working organically.

Get more web traffic

Welcome back to another shared post. This is a Broad overview on how to get more web traffic on your website, get more followers on social media, and how to build your reputation as an authority in a general area of interest.

Generating excess traffic to your website is the key being successful online. This however is very delicate and hot subject for internet marketers, …

Getting High Quality Traffic To Your Site Is Need It

3 Information Types

From reading the above post, you can see that they suggest 3 information types:

  • Posting and Contributing to forums
  • Writing and Distributing your own articles
  • Buying and Writing Ezine ads

I want to expand on this and add where to utilize each type.

Modern Forums

Forums used to be all the rage back in the 2000s. Then MySpace happened, followed by Facebook and the rest of the social media gang.

Now, forums are basically reserved for two main sites: Quora and Reddit.

The information given in the article is completely true for these sites. Do not self promote unless you have your own page on each (and that’s easy enough to set up).

Where to Write Articles

WordPress is an obvious answer, but there are a lot of options.

WordPress is a great place for blog posts and hosting certain types of websites. You can do affiliate marketing here.

Medium is a great place to write articles, but it’s all about reader engagement. The more they read, the more you can potentially get paid.

Issuu is a good place to compile your research and writing into an ebook or infographic. You can use affiliate links here as well.

Advertising your website

Ads can be a great way to bring in more traffic, but you need to have a product people are willing to buy in order to make creating ads make sense.

Unless of course you just like attention, then you can spend as much as you want for popularity. But I don’t know how well this model would work for a business.
